Apartment complex sells for big bucks

A local investor paid $1.05 million for Camellia Gardens, a 12-unit apartment complex on 1.5 acres on Pine Street in Foley, according to Herrington Realty, who represented the seller. The apartments are all one-bedroom, one bath units.

A group of local investors paid $1.05 million for the remaining undeveloped lots in Mobile Commerce Park on Todd Acres Drive in Mobile, according to Pete J.A. Riehm of CRE Mobile, who represented the buyers and Allan R. Cameron Jr. of CRE Mobile, who worked for the seller. The purchase totals more than 150 acres and the buyers plan to develop the lots and offer them for sale. Mobile Commerce Park is located just off Interstate 10.

Dollar General stores just keep on coming. Two stores received site plan approval: a 10,640-square-foot store on 1.84 acres at the southwest corner of Baldwin County 12 and 49  near the Bon Secour community. And a 10,566-square-foot Dollar General store on 1.72 acres just east of Baldwin County 65 and 10 near Bon Secour, according to the Baldwin County Planning Commission.

Publix supermarket has applied for a building permit to build a new store at the site of the former Winn-Dixie building at 1720 Gulf Shores Parkway in Gulf Shores, according to city planners. Publix plans to tear down the existing Winn-Dixie store building. The building permit has not been approved yet, however the site plan has been approved.

Watch for Lazzari Storage to be developed on 9.7 acres at 14472 Baldwin County 64 in Loxley. The project would include 3 enclosed buildings totalling 33,699 square feet for boat and RV storage.
