Sara Evans revealed on Cheryl Burke’s podcast she has an eating disorder.

On Monday, the 53-year-old country singer joined the former “Dancing With the Stars” standout on her podcast “Sex, Lies and Spray Tans.”

Evans, who recently reconciled with husband Jay Barker, discussed how she deals with fame and the opinions of others.

“It bothers me,” Evans said, per FOX. “I won’t say that it doesn’t. I have an eating disorder. I’m more scared of being fat than anything in the world, and that’s not good. That’s not normal.”

The singer also revealed she struggles with body dysmorphia, which is a mental health condition that causes people to fixate on perceived flaws or defects in their appearance, per the Mayo Clinic.

Evans said she worries about the way she looks when she is “on stage and being judged”

“My record label, every time I had a baby, they would be like, ‘When’s she gonna lose weight?’” Evans explained. “So things like that would just get in my head.”

Also, this week, Evans shared she met Jay Barker, the former Alabama quarterback, through a marriage counselor who was helping both through their previous marriages.

She shared the unlikely story on an episode of Tori Spelling’s podcast “MisSpelling.”

In March, Evans and Barker reconciled, two years after a domestic incident that revealed problems in their relationship and resulted in his arrest in Nashville.

In August 2021, Evans filed for divorce from the former Alabama football quarterback. In January 2022, Barker was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after reportedly trying to hit Evans with a vehicle. Barker was released from the Davidson County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
