Live updates: Alabama vs. No. 1 seed Florida in SEC baseball tournament

After surviving Tuesday’s single-elimination first round with a 4-0 win over Kentucky, Alabama enters the double elimination portion of the SEC baseball tournament Wednesday.

Alabama, the No. 9 seed in the tournament, is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. CT start against top-seeded Florida at the Hoover Met. However, the start of the game is likely to be delayed by the Texas A&M-Arkansas game.

With a win over Florida, Alabama would advance to play Thursday night against the winner of No. 4 seed Vanderbilt and No. 5 seed Auburn. With a loss to Florida, Alabama would play midday Thursday against the Auburn-Missouri loser.

Alabama entered Wednesday ranked No. 10 in RPI and competing to host a regional as a No. 1 seed in next month’s NCAA tournament. Florida entered ranked No. 6 in RPI and No. 2 in the coaches poll.
