Alert issued for 78-year-old man who disappeared Tuesday morning from southeast Alabama

State authorities issued a missing and endangered person alert Tuesday night for a 78-year-old man who has not been seen since Tuesday morning in southeast Alabama.

Paul Smith, who has a condition that may impair his judgment, was last spotted around 9 a.m. Tuesday in Kinston, in Coffee County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, which issued the alert.

Smith was last seen traveling in a gray 2013 Nissan Juke with the Alabama tag 19A3642.

The vehicle was last sighted near Highway 331 and Highway 29 near Brantley, in Crenshaw County, according to ALEA.

Smith, 78, was described as 5-feet 10-inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and gray or partially gray hair.

Anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts was asked to call the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office at 334- 897-2555 or 911.
