A pedestrian was struck and killed overnight in Dallas County.

Alabama State Troopers identified fatality victim as Edward J. Hall. He was 50 and lived in Tyler.

Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said the crash happened at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 80, about five miles east of Selma.

Hall was hit by a Honda Odyssey driven by 39-year-old Marcus L. Martin of Selma. Hall was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers are investigating.
