A motorcyclist from Colorado was killed in an accident Friday afternoon with a truck in southwest Alabama, authorities said.

Ethan L. Roberts, 28, of Aurora, Colo., died in the wreck around 1:15 p.m. Friday on Highway 21 near the 29-mile marker, about seven miles south of Monroeville, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Anna Peoples.

Roberts was riding a 1999 Honda motorcycle when it collided with a 2021 Dodge Ram, Peoples said.

The Colorado man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate the accident.
