A five-year-old boy drowned at Smith Lake Saturday, according to The Cullman Tribune.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Saturday at Arrowhead RV Resort at Smith Lake, off County Road 941 in Crane Hill.

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick told the newpaper the child was recovered from Smith Lake hours after he was reported in the water.

The child’s name was not released.
