Yung Bleu shows off Moon Boy University, his ‘resort style’ studio

Artist and producer Yung Bleu has provided a look at his “resort style” recording studio, Moon Boy University — and it’s a lot.

Bleu, who’s from Mobile and has been based in the Atlanta area for several years, announced his plans to build his own studio back in 2022. In an Instagram post earlier this year, he said the facility was ready and he was hiring staff after a year of fighting to make his vision real.

“I didnt sleep well at night knowing my career and legacy was in everybody hand but mines,” he wrote of 2023. “I sacrificed a lot for this. Being absent in 2023 I lost friends, fans, even business relationships because of my absence and ambitions to be a boss and build something my family can stand on. If y’all only knew the storms I went through in 2023. But as I roll into 2024 I really see the sun showing a new era. My label headquarters and studio is done.”

The Source reported in January that Bleu invested $2.6 million in Moon Boy University, and it shows in the video the artist shared this week on social media. The stylish 9,000-square-foot facility in Gainesville, Ga., features an eye-catching yellow theme and luxurious amenities. “We got everything you need,” he says. “We got bowling alleys, indoor pool, outside pool, indoor basketball and a outside court, rooftop madness, mini-golf … and a crazy Studio A.”

There’s also an accompanying villa you can rent if you want to keep your whole crew on site. That’s $1,500 a night, according to moonboyuniversity.com.

The pitch is that this is more than a studio: “At MBU we aim to provide a comprehensive support system that encompasses much more than recording services,” says promotional information on the site. “Our team of experts in marketing, strategy, digital, and project management will work closely with you to develop effective plans and strategies for your music and content releases.”

Cardholders gain access to “all the tools and resources you need to succeed as an independent artist or creator,” promises the site.
