‘Yellowstone’ to AI: NFL teams release schedule videos

On Thursday night, 32 NFL teams announced their schedules for the 2023 regular season. And as the Pittsburgh Steelers explained in their schedule-release video, the teams don’t type up the schedule and hand it to the coach anymore. They make schedule-release videos.

This year, there was only one anime video as teams turned to new areas, with artificial intelligence a popular angle. The Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints showed up to the party in the same outfit as both played off the conspiracy theory that the NFL is scripted.

The Dallas Cowboys had a “Yellowstone” tie-in, and quarterbacks past and present made appearances and announcements.

The Chicago Bears used short-order cooking, and the Indianapolis Colts had a couple of linemen eat their way through the schedule.

The New York Giants put players in an escape room, and the Philadelphia Eagles used the dogs of players and coaches to announce their schedule (because of the Eagles’ “dawg mentality”).
