WWE’s Sonya Deville arrested for gun she got after kidnapping attempt

WWE star Sonya Deville was reportedly arrested last month in Atlantic City after police say she was carrying a firearm in her vehicle without a permit.

TMZ reported that court documents show that a valet reported to police that they found a gun in the glove box of Deville’s car. They responded and then reportedly arrested the 29-year-old.

TMZ said she was charged with a count of unlawful weapon possession of a handgun without a permit and is slated to appear in court later this month.

EWrestlingNews.com reported that Deville got the gun for personal protection after a man was accused of breaking into her Florida home in 2020 to kidnap her. The site said the gun is registered in New Jersey but not in Florida.

Deville currently wrestles for WWE’s SmackDown brand.
