WWE superstar announces his release after 17 years: ‘Thank you for all the love, support’
R-Truth has been released by the WWE.
The wrestling superstar, whose real name is Ron Killings, posted the news on social media on Sunday.
“I’m sorry to inform you all,” he posted on X. “I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride.
“Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports R-Truth wasn’t released, but his contract was not renewed.
R-Truth, 53, fell most recently to WWE Champion John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24. His final match in WWE, however, was a loss to JC Matteo on the May 28 episode of SmackDown.
