WWE legend announces retirement match in 2025
Goldberg appeared on ESPN’s “SEC Nation” on Saturday, Nov. 2, and the WWE legend his request for one more match has been granted.
“The news of the day is, per three executives, Nick Khan, Chris Legentil, and Paul Levesque, in 2025, Goldberg’s having his retirement match,” he said. “I think we know who the victim, probably the frontrunner right now, we know who it is. But 2025, Goldberg makes his return, retirement match. I got a couple months to get ready. No date, no time, so we’ll see.”
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther goaded the former world champion during “Bad Blood,” forcing Goldberg to hop the barricade and try to confront The Ring General.
Goldberg, a Georgia Bulldogs fans, joined WWE in 2003 and won the World Heavyweight Championship, left in 2004, only to return in 2016 to face Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series. Goldberg, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018, last wrestled at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022, where he lost to Roman Reigns.
