A new, 257 all-suite resort is coming to the beach in Gulf Shores by the summer of 2025.

Officials have announced the development of Embassy Suites Gulf Shores, an eight-story, full-service resort overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The resort is a joint effort between DD Partners of Birmingham, Peachtree Group of Atlanta, Ga., and Woodbine Development Corporation of Dallas.

Once built by contractor Robins & Morton, the resort will feature, in addition to its 257 all-suite, beachfront guestrooms, a lobby bar and restaurant, a rooftop amenity terrace including a bar and grille and a pool deck and outdoor entertainment venue.

Also included in the resort will be 13,620 square feet of meeting and reception space, including a 7,800-square-foot ballroom. Also planned is a three-story parking garage and more than 7,600 square feet of retail space which will include a Starbucks.

Embassy Suites Gulf Shores will be located near the location of the annual Hangout Music Festival, the National Shrimp Festival and the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships, according to the partners. It will also be adjacent to Gulf Shores’ $15 million beachfront revitalization project, completed in 2018.
