Work begins on $11.2 million Hays Farm office building in south Huntsville

Hays Farm in south Huntsville is becoming a hub of construction in the Rocket City.

Just days after work began on an apartment complex not far from Grissom High School, the city of Huntsville issued a permit for work on an $11.2 million office building at 885 Haysland Road.

The permit was issued to Freedom Real Estate & Capital. Brasfield & Gorrie of Birmingham is listed as the builder. The firm has several projects going on in Huntsville from the new federal courthouse and The Stella apartment complex in the downtown and Five Points areas to the Redstone Gateway.

This Class A office building will be 54,000 square feet with more than 18,000 square feet per floor. Tenant improvement packages are being offered. It will have on-site parking. It will have a common building lobby with controlled access to each suite.

The building is being pre-leased and expected to be delivered next year.

It is being promoted as having easy access to Memorial Parkway. It is between the Redstone Road and Martin Road and within 10 minutes of the Memorial Parkway and Interstate 565 interchange and downtown.
