Women add to Georgia Cracker Barrelâs decor in viral TikTok
Two women decided a Cracker Barrel’s Georgia location’s decor needed some revamping — and they ended up going viral.
Best friends Ashley Zessin Shelley and Darcy Gashwiler went to a Cracker Barrel and had a little more on their mind than what they were going to order, according to a TikTok posted June 11 and Nextstar reporting.
The video has amassed more than 24 million views and shows one of the women look around the restaurant, waiting for the perfect moment to execute the prank.
They had a framed black and white photo of the two, decked out in full country attire, equipped with a chicken and a gardening hoe, the video shows. After some time passed, the women added it to the restaurant’s fireplace mantel.
The two women proudly stood in front of their prank and smiled from ear to ear, the video shows.
“This all started as a joke,” Shelley told Nexstar. “We have a friend that just became a manager at our Cracker Barrel here in town. We thought it would be funny for him to find the picture and see it was us.”
And TikTok users are in agreement with one saying, “This is everything.”
“This is the kind of prank I can get behind,” another commenter said. “So cute and wholesome and nobody’s getting hurt.”
In a video posted June 13, the two went back to Cracker Barrel to see if their prank remained intact.
The picture was untouched.
The duo didn’t stop at Cracker Barrel.
In a video posted June 13, the two women hit Buc-ees on their way back to Cracker Barrel and placed the same iconic photo along other pieces of art in the convenient store.
Now, everyone wants to join the fun with one TikToker saying “Make it printable so we can all partake,” on one of the pairs’ videos.
