The Mobile Police Department is currently investigating a potential homicide after a woman was found dead early Thursday morning.

MPD released a statement saying they received a call from an individual who discovered a body. After arriving at Barnes Avenue at about 4:32 a.m., responding officers found a dead woman’s body.

The incident is currently under investigation and the department is not releasing any more information at this time.
