Womanâs body found on Ensley roadside; investigation underway
An investigation is underway after a woman’s body was found on an Ensley roadside.
The discovery was made just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of 18th Street Ensley.
The woman was in a grassy area just feet off 18th Street. A bicycle was nearby, but it wasn’t immediately clear if it was related.
Sgt. LaQuitta Wade said the death is unclassified for now. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine how the woman died.
