Woman struck by 3 vehicles, killed in Madison County
A woman was killed Thursday night in Madison County when she was struck by three vehicles while walking on U.S. 231 on Thursday night, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.
Ruby A. Dawkins, 34, of Toney, was pronounced dead at the scene. The multi-vehicle crash happened about 8:49 p.m. near the 343 mile marker, about one mile north of Meridianville.
According to ALEA, Dawkins was first struck by a 2013 GMC Yukon driven by Monique L. Jackson, 47, of Meridianville.
After the initial crash, Dawkins was struck by a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Anthony S. Owens, 50, of New Hope, and a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Journey S. Castillo, 20, of Harvest.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating.
