Woman stabbed in road rage incident after honking at another driver, Mobile police say

A 23-year-old woman is in custody, charged with stabbing another woman in an apparent road rage incident at the intersection of Western Drive and Springhill Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

According to Mobile police, a witness told officers the victim honked her horn at another driver, later identified as Char’Nesia Lee, who was attempting to make a left turn onto Springhill Avenue from Western Drive.

Traffic signs clearly indicate motorists can only turn right, not left, off of Western onto Springhill.

After the victim honked at Lee, both women exited their vehicles, with another witness telling police the two engaged in a heated exchange and then began striking each other before Lee reportedly stabbed the other woman.

The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injuries.

Lee is charged with second degree assault. She was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail, where she posted bond and was released pending a March 14 court appearance.
