Woman killed when Jeep hits fallen tree in roadway
A Hale County woman was killed when her SUV hit a tree that had fallen in the road.
Alabama State Troopers Wednesday identified the woman as Q’ueentria S. Ward. She was 26 and lived in Akron.
The wreck happened at 10 p.m. Sunday on Hale County 42 near Clary Drive. Ward, who was driving a Jeep Compass, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Cpl. Trooper Reginal King said the fatal crash remains under investigation.
