Woman killed, teen injured in multi-vehicle Tuscaloosa County crash

A woman was killed, and a teen injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County.

The wreck happened at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday on Alabama 216, about one mile west of Woodstock, according to the Alabama State Troopers.

Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal identified the fatality victim as Joy H. Green. She was 66 and lived in Vance.

Authorities said Green was a passenger in a Chrysler 200 that was driven by a 16-year-old. The Chrysler was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 35-year-old Daniel Carmichael of Lakeview.

After the initial impact, the truck then struck a Chrysler 300 driven by Pamela Young, 46, of Brookwood.

Green was pronounced dead on the scene. The teen was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The other two drivers were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
