A woman was killed, and a man was injured in a shooting Monday morning in Montgomery.

Police and fire medics were dispatched at 10:15 a.m. to the 1400 block of Eastern Boulevard, said police Maj. Saba Coleman. They arrived to find two people shot.

The female was pronounced dead on the scene. The male was hospitalized with a life-threatening injury.

Their names were not immediately released.

Coleman said one person was detained for questioning. Investigators are trying to determine that person’s involvement, if any, in the deadly shooting.
