Montgomery police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened this afternoon, WSFA reported.

Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Finley Avenue at about 5:23 p.m. An adult female who had sustained a gunshot wound was pronounced dead. Responders also found an adult male who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and transported him to a local hospital for treatment.

The Montgomery Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.
