A Hurtsboro woman was killed in a Tuesday-evening crash in Russell County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Annie J. Long. She was 64.

The wreck happened at 6:58 p.m. on U.S. 80, about seven miles west of Phenix City.

Trooper Sgt. Jeremy Burkett said Long was driving a Honda Accord that was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 30-year-old Colton L. Mitchell of Seale.

Long was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, and was pronounced dead on the scene, Burkett said.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
