Woman killed, 2 children among 3 injured in Alabama crash
A two-vehicle crash in Bibb County killed a 34-year-old woman and injured three others on Friday.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. on U.S. 82, about five miles east of Centreville, according to Cpl. Reginal M. King with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Jennifer Chism was driving a Jeep Compass that was hit by a tractor-trailer. Chism, 34, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, King said in a press release.
Two 8-year-olds were were riding in the Jeep were taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to state troopers.
The 53-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was also taken to the hospital for treatment, King said.
ALEA is still investigating the crash.
