Woman has fight with ex; crashes vehicle into Mobile club, police say
Hayleigh Hightower and her ex-boyfriend reportedly argued in the parking lot of the Billiard Club in Mobile just after midnight Wednesday. The ex-boyfriend, thinking the argument over, went back inside the club.
For Hightower, however, the altercation evidently wasn’t over. Mobile police said the 34-year-old woman got in her vehicle and drove it into the Billiard Club, directly through the front door and into the club, striking and injuring two people.
One of the victims was taken to a local hospital for what police described as a non-life-threatening injury; the other was treated at the scene for a minor injury.
Hightower was also injured and taken to a hospital for treatment, after which she was transported to Mobile Metro Jail, where she was booked on multiple charges, including two counts of 2nd-degree assault; 1st-degree criminal mischief; two counts of 2nd-degree criminal mischief; reckless endangerment; and public intoxication.
Hightower remained in Mobile Metro Jail as of mid-afternoon Thursday awaiting an initial court apperance.
