Florence police say one person is dead following a one-vehicle crash early Friday morning.

The incident happened at about 4 a.m. in the area of Florence Boulevard and Helton Drive.

Officers arriving found an overturned vehicle near the railroad tracks on Railroad Avenue.

A 38-year-old woman, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was apparently ejected from the vehicle, police said.
