Woman, 61, accused of shooting ex-husband after they spent evening at Tuscaloosa County bar
A woman is behind bars in Tuscaloosa County after authorities say she shot her ex-husband.
The pair had spent Friday night at a bar, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crime Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy, and got into an argument when they returned to a Northport home.
Police responded at 2 a.m. Saturday to the residence in the 2900 block of Meadow Lake Drive on a report of a shooting.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was found wounded. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
Kennedy said an argument erupted between the exes during which Jerri Denise Pate shot the victim.
Pate, 61, is charged with attempted murder. She is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
