Authorities are searching for answers in the shooting death of a 33-year-old Dallas County woman.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched May 13, to a report of a shooting in the 9000 block of County Road 3 in Marion Junction in Marion County.

When they arrived, they found Diane Renee Fitts dead from a gunshot wound.

Investigators say someone fired into Fitts’ home between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. that Saturday, fatally striking Fitts. Multiple 7.62 mm shell casings were recovered from the scene.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to the identity and arrest of the suspect.
