Wind chill advisory for North Alabama for Tuesday
The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory at 2:25 p.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between midnight and noon for Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.
The weather service describes, “Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 5 to 10 below zero.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken,” says the weather service. “If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
