Wind chill advisory affecting North Alabama Friday and Saturday

On Thursday at 1:31 p.m. a wind chill advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Friday 10 p.m. until Saturday noon for Marshall, DeKalb and Cullman counties.

The weather service comments, “Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 10 below zero.”

“The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken,” explains the weather service. “Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
