Wind chill advisory affecting Alabama Tuesday
On Monday at 9:41 p.m. a wind chill advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Tuesday between midnight and noon for Lamar, Fayette and Walker counties.
The weather service adds, “Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 5 below zero.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken,” states the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
