Wind advisory issued for Southeast Alabama until Tuesday midday

On Tuesday at 4:36 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 11 a.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.

The weather service says, “Southeast winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” adds the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
