Wind advisory issued for North Alabama until Tuesday evening
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 9:57 a.m. on Tuesday valid for Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Limestone, Madison, Jackson and DeKalb counties.
The weather service comments, “West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
