Wind advisory issued for North Alabama until Saturday midday
A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 8:46 a.m. in effect until noon for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.
The weather service describes, “East winds 10 to 20 mph, with gusts of 30 to 40 mph.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” states the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
