Wind advisory for North Alabama until Thursday evening
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 11:58 a.m. on Thursday in effect until 6 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.
The weather service states to anticipate, “Northwest winds up to 20 mph with gusts around 35 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
