Wind advisory affecting Southeast Alabama until Tuesday midday

On Monday at 3:14 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 8 p.m. until Tuesday noon for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.

The weather service comments, “South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
