Wilco has two spring dates in Alabama, including one with Waxahatchee

Good news for Alabama fans of Wilco and Waxahatchee: The two acts will play one spring show together in the state, and Wilco will make another appearance on its own.

Here’s how that breaks down for Alabama concertgoers:

Most of Wilco’s spring tour dates will feature Alabama native Katie Crutchfield’s Waxahatchee. That includes a May 2 date at Avondale Brewing Co. in Birmingham. General public ticket sales start at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, through Ticketmaster. The ticketing service lists multiple pre-sales starting as soon as Wednesday. According to Wilco’s tour page, a band presale starting at 10 am. Wednesday uses the password HOTSUN. Ticket prices were not immediately available.

The first date on the spring tour doesn’t feature Waxahatchee. But it will bring Wilco to Halstead Amphitheater in Fairhope on April 25 as part of the Live at Five concert series. Tickets for that show go on sale at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15 through https://www.liveatfivefairhope.com/shows. General admission tickets will be $65.

The announcement that Wilco will appear rounds out a five-show series for the series, which opens with The Molly Ringwalds on March 28, followed by Old Crow Medicine Show April 11. Two Mobile-area headliners close things out for spring: Roman Street on May 16, followed by The Tip-Tops on May 30.

Ticket prices for the shows were not immediately available.
