A Mobile woman has been charged with the weekend murder of her husband at their home.

Officers arrived at the Benjamins’ home at about 11:32 p.m. Sunday to find Darrin Benjamin, 54, dead, according to the Mobile Police Department.

Officers took Ladina Benjamin, 53, into custody. She has been charged with murder and is in the Mobile County Metro Jail.

The couple lived on the 500 block of Felhorn Road East.

“Preliminary information from the investigation indicates that the incident occurred during a domestic situation,” the police department said in a statement.
