Who will be the fans’ choice for girls HS Player of the Year? Vote now in the finals
We’re down to the finals of the inaugural AL.com girls basketball player of the year bracket showdown.
Fans have voted each of the last three weeks in a 16-player, NCAA-tournament style bracket.
In last week’s semifinals, Central-Phenix City’s Jabria Lindsey defeated Vigor’s Jamonica Chambers and Good Hope’s Ava McSwain defeated New Hope’s Kaylee Yarbrough.
So, it comes down to Lindsey vs. McSwain for the fans’ choice as Player of the Year. The winner receives the coveted AL.com Trophy.
Voting is open now and will close Sunday at the poll on the bottom of this page.

Jabria Lindsey, Central-Phenix City, Jr., G, 5-9
A first team all-state selection and finalist for Class 7A Player of the Year, Lindsey helped lead the Red Devils to the AHSAA state semifinals this season. She averaged 26.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5 assists per game, adding 476 steals this season.

Ava McSwain, Good Hope, Sr., G, 5-10
McSwain helped get Good Hope back to a state title game appearance this season, claiming first team all-state honors and being named a Class 4A Player of the Year finalist along the way. The UAH signee averaged 19.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
