A property owner on Alabama’s pristine Ono Island will have to follow rules laid out by the island’s property owners association, according to an Alabama Supreme Court ruling.

Last week, the Alabama Supreme Court reversed in part and upheld in part a ruling from Baldwin County Circuit Court in F Family South v. Property Owners Association of Ono Island, a case that centered around a small portion of land in the island’s labyrinth canal system, which many of the town’s residents use for transportation.
