Who is the Week 4 Huntsville Player of the Week?

Logan Silva contributed mightily in Arab’s 29-26 win over Sardis last week as the Knights improved to 4-0 and 2-0 in Class 5A, Region 7 play. For his efforts, the senior linebacker/running back earned Week 4 honors as the Huntsville area Player of the Week.

Silva ran for 95 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries and registered nine tackles for unbeaten Arab. He earned 73 percent of the 2,319 votes cast in the poll to win in a runaway.

Arab travels to unbeaten Scottsboro for a big region showdown on Friday.

Randolph quarterback William Mitchell finished second in the balloting after throwing for 212 yards and three touchdowns and running for 129 yards and a TD in a 36-6 win over North Jackson. Mitchell completed 15-of-19 passes in the win.

Brandon Musch of Westminster Christian was third in the Week 4 vote after scoring three rushing touchdowns, running for 145 yards on 10 carries, and completing 16-of-18 throws for 94 yards and two TDs. The Warriors beat St. John Paul II 47-28.

Voting for Huntsville Football Player of the Week opens on Sundays during the season and runs through Wednesday. Nominees are determined from statistics submitted by coaches or official team statisticians before noon each Saturday.

In Week 4, more than 52,000 votes were cast across the three AL.com player of the week polls.
