We’ve reached the second round — or quarterfinals, as it were — in our bracket to determine the greatest Auburn football player of the modern era.

The first round went about as expected, as our top seven seeds — Bo Jackson, Cam Newton, Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley, Cadillac Williams, Tracy Rocker and Derrick Brown — all swept to fairly easy victories. There was one minor upset in the 8-9 matchup, with No. 9 seed Gregg Carr besting No. 8 Ed King.
