Who are the ‘racist royals’? Piers Morgan’s theory on who worried about Archie’s skin color

Piers Morgan has revealed Kate Middleton and King Charles as the royals who expressed concern over the skin color of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son Archie.

On Wednesday’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” the titular broadcaster, 58, named the Princess of Wales and the new monarch as the pair who had been identified in the Dutch translation of Omid Scobie’s royal exposé “Endgame,” which was pulled from bookshelves Tuesday.

“The royals who were named in this book are King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales,” said the controversial personality. “[But] I don’t believe any racist comments were ever made by any of the royal family, and until there is actual evidence of those comments being made, I will never believe it.”

The Dutch publisher previously said it was pulling that translation — until a “rectified edition” hits bookstores Dec. 8 — due to an “error.” It was unclear if they regarded the reveal itself as the error, or if it had something to do with the translation itself.

“Having only written and edited the English version of ‘Endgame,’ I can only comment on that manuscript — which does not name the two individuals who took part in that conversation,” royal journalist Scobie said in a statement to People. “I’m happy to hear that the error in the translation of the Dutch edition is being fixed.”

Harry, 39, and “Suits” alum Markle, 42, revealed in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey that there had been “concerns and conversations about how dark [Archie’s] skin might be when he’s born.”

“That conversation I’m never going to share,” said the Duke of Sussex. “It was awkward. I was a bit shocked.”

The polarizing pair never shared which relatives were behind the remarks but quickly dismissed any speculation that they’d come from Queen Elizabeth II or Prince Philip.
