Auburn football recruits headlined the 2024 Mr. Football and Players of the year banquet Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery.

Six 2025 recruits were presented with awards for Back and Lineman of the year at the luncheon.

Five-stars Anquon Fegans, Malik Autry and Jared Smith were nominated for 7A Back and Lineman of the year, with Fegans and Smith taking home the award.

Four-star Jourdin Crawford was nominated for 6A Lineman of the year and named the winner. JJ Faulk was nominated and awarded 2A Lineman of the year.

Elba’s Alvin Henderson won 1A back of the year for the third time. The state’s all-time leading rusher spoke on the impact of winning in three consecutive seasons and being around his future Auburn teammates.

“It feels good. I’m blessed to have won this award three years in a row,” Henderson said. “I had four future teammates also win awards today. So, that is going to carry over to Auburn and we are going to get things back to how they use to be.”
