Which Alabama school districts have the most experienced teachers? See the list

Over the last 10 years, Alabama schools have lost a lot of experienced teachers, and more and more educators in classrooms are first-time teachers.

In 2014, one in five teachers had five or fewer years of experience, but in 2024, that number rose to one in three, according to data from the state’s department of education. Last school year, 4,209, or more than 9% of teachers, were in their first year of teaching. Scroll down to see the data for your school district.
