Where Kay Ivey ranks on list of nation’s most popular governors
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey ranks among the most popular governors in the country, according to the latest poll by Morning Consult.
The survey shows Ivey with an approval rating of 60% compared to disapproval of 34% for a net approval rating of 26 points. Ivey is one of nine Republican governors to rank in the top 10:
1. Charlie Baker, R-MA – 74% approval
2. Phil Scott, R-VT – 73 % approval
3. Larry Hogan, R-MD – 70% approval
4. Doug Burgum, R-ND – 66% approval
5. Mark Gordon, R-WY – 66% approval
6. Jim Justice, R-WV – 65% approval
7. Kay Ivey, R-AL – 60% approval
8. Brad Little, R-ID – 59% approval
9. Andy Beshear, D-KY – 59% approval
10. Chris Sununu, R-NH – 59% approval
Ivey is currently running for her second full term in office. She faces Democratic challenger Yolanda Flowers in the Nov. 8 general election.
Govs. Kate Brown, D-Ore., and Doug Ducey, R-Ariz., whose terms expire in early 2023, are America’s most unpopular governors, with respective 56% and 49% disapproval ratings, according to Morning Consult.
The 10 least popular governors are:

2. Doug Ducey, R-AZ – 42% approval rating
3. Pete Ricketts, R-NE, 47% approval rating
4. Dan McKee, D-RI, 47% approval rating
5. Tate Reeves, R-MS, 48% approval rating
6. Tony Evers, D-WI, 49% approval rating
7. John Bel Edwards, D-LA, 49% approval rating
8. Mike Parson, R-MO, 49% approval rating
9. Tom Wolf, D-PA, 50% approval rating
10. Steve Sisolak, D-NV, 50% approval rating
