Lee Corso was not on set Saturday for ESPN’s “College GameDay” from Eugene, Oregon, ahead of No. 2 Ohio State’s visit to No. 3 Oregon.

“Lee Corso hoping he gets back with us very soon,” Rece Davis said during the broadcast. “I talked to LC this week. He wants to send his regards to his very good friend the Duck. And the other, Pat, is he has to be sorry in seeing this crowd is about.”

Davis revealed the news on Friday.

“He’s not going to be here this week. He’s doing better. He’s been a little bit under the weather for the last couple of weeks,” Davis said, per Ducks Wire. “I talked to him earlier and he said he was sorry he is missing his best friend, The Duck.”

Corso missed last week’s broadcast from Berkeley, Calif., for its Week 6 visit and first-ever road trip to the home of the California Golden Bears.

Davis will be at the helm for his 10th season, joined at the desk this week by “GameDay” analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. College football insider Pete Thamel, college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims round out the “GameDay” cast.

The college football analyst, 89, also missed the Week 0 broadcast. No reason was given.
