Auburn is 20-5 overall this season and 9-3 in the SEC. It is set to host No. 22 Kentucky at 5 p.m. Saturday inside Neville Arena.

The Tigers slot in as the third SEC team behind Tennessee and Alabama. Auburn will play Tennessee on Feb. 28 and split two games this season against Alabama. Auburn also lost to Baylor in the season-opening game.

Auburn is 2-4 in Quad 1 games and 18-1 against Quads 2, 3 and 4.

The quadrants are defined as the following based on a team’s NET rankings.

  • Quadrant 1: Home 1-30, Neutral 1-50, Away 1-75
  • Quadrant 2: Home 31-75, Neutral 51-100, Away 76-135

Auburn has made the tournament four times since 2018, and is as close to a lock to make the 2024 field as any team could be in February. Auburn was a No. 4 seed in 2018, a No. 5 seed when it went to the Final Four in 2019, a No. 2 seed in 2022 and a No. 9 seed last year.

Selection Sunday is now about a month away, with the bracket reveal to come on the evening of March 17.
