Where does Auburn basketball rank in final AP Poll of the season?
After losing in the Final Four, Auburn men’s basketball learned its final place in the AP poll on Tuesday.
The Tigers finished at No. 4, seven spots above where they started the season. It caps off a year in which Auburn spent eight weeks ranked No. 1, but its loss to Florida in the Final Four kept it from finishing on top.
Florida was ranked No. 1 in the final poll after winning Monday’s national championship game, with Houston and Duke also ranking above Auburn.
Eight Southeastern Conference teams finished in the top 25, with Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Arkansas coming behind Florida and Auburn. The SEC finished with more teams ranked than any other conference.
Auburn also finished the season having played 13 teams ranked in the final poll, including seven of the top 10.
